Learn to Knit Workshops - Doncaster & Sheffield

Ever wanted to knit but just couldn't quite grasp what those cute little diagrams in the back of the knitting magazines were trying to convey? Sometimes, all it takes is to see somebody actually do it.

Knitting is hugely popular again, and the shops are full of magazines containing the most wonderful patterns, using yarns from around the world in a myriad of fibres. There will be a variety of magazines and pattern books available for you to look through, and a great big basket of Ecoknits yarn to 'smoosh' (technical yarnie term for squeezing, stroking and getting downright tactile with).

Topics for further workshops could include how to read patterns and charts, knitting swatches and getting gauge, rescuing dropped stitches, choosing the right yarn/wool and needles for the project and knitting with double pointed needles.

Complete beginners and rusty/lapsed knitters all welcome!
