The Natural Dye Studio

If you're looking for naturally dyed, luxurious, squishy yarns with the personal touch and a low carbon footprint, you've found them. The Natural Dye Studio use only plant materials to dye their yarns, and they don't use any of the metal mordants that are so damaging to humans and the environment.

The Blue Faced Leicester wool is certified by the British Wool Marketing board, and is grown, shorn, spun and dyed in Britain. Buying British wool supports British agriculture and our farmers, who need every ounce of support they can get if they are to maintain our beautiful countryside in all its glorious diversity. (Shall I get off my Buy British soapbox now?)

We stock Dazzle, which is 100% Blue Faced Leicester certified wool, in 100g skeins of 4ply and DK. The 4ply is 360 tactile yards, which knits up on 2mm to 3.5mm needles. The DK is 120 yards of soft smooshy goodness that knits up on 3.75mm to 4mm needles. Both the DK and the 4ply are £11.50 each, which is an absolute bargain for a hand dyed, hand twisted skein of fabulously soft, upstandingly ethical, environmentally sound, British yarn.
