If you're looking for naturally dyed, low carbon footprint, luxurious, squishy yarns with a personal touch, you've found them. The Natural Dye Studio use only plant materials to dye their yarns, and they don't use any of the metal mordants that are so damaging to humans and the environment.
The Blue Faced Leicester wool is certified by the British Wool Marketing board, and is grown, shorn, spun and dyed in Britain. Buying British wool supports British agriculture and our farmers, who need every ounce of support they can get if they are to maintain our beautiful countryside in all its glorious diversity. We stock Dazzle, which is 100% Blue Faced Leicester certified wool, in 100g skeins of 4ply and DK. The 4ply is 360 tactile yards, which knits up on 2mm to 3.5mm needles. The DK is 120 yards of soft smooshy goodness that knits up on 3.75mm to 4mm needles. Both the DK and the 4ply are £10.99 each, which is an absolute bargain for a hand dyed, hand twisted skein of fabulously soft, upstandingly ethical, environmentally sound, British yarn.

Spring Violet 4ply
A most scrumptious colourway: purple, lavender, lilac, olive, apple, teal and an intermittent smudge of sky blue. For some bizarre reason, the photograph doesn't show the purple - most of those blues are really gorgeous violets and hazy smoky mountains. Maybe if we get some sunshine...

green from apple through forest, glimpses of sky blue and teal and
terracotta and sand and biscuit... I know, it's another one that needs
a dose of sunshine for a good picture. Or just buy a skein and enjoy
the deliciousness for yourself.
